ABC The Key (powered by VITA) is an exciting, animated, online video program that teaches phonetic reading, writing, spelling and pronunciation of the English language.  ABC The Key is true instructional software made for you, the teacher.  ABC The Key is made for you to use on a TV or projector during instruction time in front of and with your class.  It models lessons step-by-step in an easy and effective manner that will save you time!

This scientific, research-based program teaches 72 letter combinations and their sounds using a multi-sensory technique.  Students simultaneously see the letters, hear the sounds, write the letters, and say the sounds.  This locks the concepts into the brain producing confident and proficient readers and spellers.

ABC The Key-trained students will:

• meet the Texas Education Code (§4.002) which states in part, “Students will demonstrate exemplary performance in  the reading and writing of the English language,”
• master the TEKS for language arts and reading,
• meet national and international reading  standards.
